Healthy Snack

Language - Our sight word of the day is: red

Students completed their sight word activity sheet by practicing tracing the word, independently writing, word search, and fill in the missing letter.
Recess/ Lunch
Morning Circle - Calendar - Days of the week, months of the year, today's weather, dress for the weather. 
Art - Shape Monster Art!  Students used different shapes to design their own monster.  Students cut out the shapes and then glued them together to create their own monster and then drew their eyes, mouth, etc.

Recess/Lunch
Math - Numeracy - students practiced counting and writing the correct number with neatness.

Unit of Inquiry - Sharing the Planet
This week we are learning all about the animal kingdom (animal classifications). Today we learned about Birds and Fish!  We discussed the key characteristics of birds and fish:

Birds:

- Feathers
- Lay eggs
- Have wings used to fly

Fish: 

-Breathe through gills

-Live in water (fresh and salt)

-Move using fins

-Have scales
