Wednesday, January 23rd - Day 1

Class Reminders:

• Legoland- Students are to wear their gym uniform for the trip tomorrow. 
• Pattern Day - Friday, January 25th.  Studens may wear clothing with patterns on them. Eg. striped pants, shirts, polka dots. 
• Grade 1 Supermarket- Grade 1 classes are having a Supermarket for their summative assessment this Friday, January 25th!  JKs may bring in $2-$4. All proceeds go towards Sick Kids. 
• Re-Registration Forms- A friendly reminder that Re-Registration packages are due February 11th! After this date, your child's spot will not be guaranteed.  Please hand them in asap!
• Jump Rope for Heart- Fundraising forms were sent home last week.  Students attended a presentation to learn about what the fundraiser is about, and the different prizes they can get when they raise money!  The event will take place on February 14th.
• Oral Presentations: JKs participate in SJA's oral presentations at school.  Students are to have poems, along with actions, memorized by February 4th.  Please note, props may not be used in oral presentations.   This includes clothing.
• Cookie Love -Parent guild is hosting a cookie decorating party!  Students have the chance to decorate their own valentine's cookies (4) for $5!  Please see your child's agenda for more information.

Language continued - The JKs completed their letter L scavenger hunt activity:

Morning Circle – Calendar: days of the week, months of the year songs. Today’s weather, dress for the weather.

Math – Students rotated through different pattern centres to practice extending different patterns. 

 At this stations, students made different AB, ABC, and AB patterns.
