Tuesday, Oct. 9th- Day 5

Language- This week we are learning about the Letter P!  Today we formed the letter P with play-doh.  We also listened to the jolly phonics song for letter P and learned the actions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJlPKm1Hbl8

Then we wrote down words we know that begin with the letter P: 

Fine Motor Activity- Fun in the sun! It was a warm day so we spent some time outside using the chalk.

 UOI and Math- We learned about what food items make our teeth happy and healthy and what makes our teeth sad and unhealthy.  For healthy foods we came up with: oranges, watermelons, tomato, apple, carrots, milk, broccoli, bananas, and cucumbers. For unhealthy foods the JKs listed: popsicles, cake, ice cream, candy, candy corn, and gummy worms.

Sequencing- We learned the different steps to brush our teeth to learn to sequence.  the JKs were given a picture of the events out of order, and the objective was to place the pictures in the correct order.

We have the dairy farmers coming to visit the JKs tomorrow! We learned the different kinds of Dairy products and if any students had them for lunch today.
